REFLECTION ON THE USER TESTING
During the user testing we've mainly noticed that some concerns we've had by ourselves we're also present in the user. But we also got some tips on how to improve or what to add for the product to be better in their eyes. Overall all the user testing I've conducted was pretty useful and eye opening. I'll mention some things that we used in the development of our final interface here;
Multiple times we've gotten the advice to make the font on some of the cards bigger, because although they liked the design and general look of the cards, they were hard to read. And so we did, the font is not bigger more readable, not only for myself but my 10 year old brother also approved of this fact. Multiple children also said that they would like to have some sort of booklet to collect the cards in and thus we are working on a concept for a collection book right now. Not only this but it was also mentioned that the children liked the layout for the cards Enrique designed best, so we decided to go with his layout with some slight alterations in font and general design made by me. Another kid mentioned that he'd like the cards that are special to have some clear difference from the normal ones so we made a shiny-esque border around to words to make it appear to be glowing and we are also currently looking for some shiny foil we can stick on top of the rare cards to make them extra special.
Overall I would say that the user testing was not only incredibly nice for hearing feedback and the enthusiasm these kids had, but they also really helped us in the furthering of our design.
